Japanese food is always my favorite food. I always make a time to visit Japanese restaurant, especially the new ones. One of them is Momiji Japanese Restaurant. It is located on the second floor of Aston Priorty Simatupang Hotel & Conference Center. Momiji Japanesse Restaurant is quite a brand new Japanese restaurant as it was opened on 4 April 2016.
Momiji is opened to satisfy the need of the guests from Japan and the fans of “anything from Japan” to eat original and genuine Japanese food, especially in the area of Aston Priority Simatupang and around TB. Simatupang street.
As I walked up to the second level near the lobby of the Aston Priority Simatupang Hotel, suddenly the atmosphere of the hotel changes to a modern Japanese room. Yes, the combination of modern style and original Japanese design fulfill the atmosphere of Momiji Japanese Restaurant. I easily notice the unique things from the restaurant. The lamps, the plant and tree patterns on the wall, the partition between the spaces, the contrast color of black and white with a touch of wood texture.
As I sit down on the table at Momiji, another unique thing captures my eyes. The servers wear Japanese Style Clothes like Kimono. And hey, the restaurant folds the napkins in such a way that they look like Kimono too. Very cute and creative!
I heard that the best food in Momiji Restaurant are Ozen, Soup, Salad, Agemono (deep-fried dishes), Edomae Unagi (eel prepared in traditional way), Nabemono (hot pot dishes), Don Buri (rice bowl dishes), Ochasuke (rice in green tea with some salty toppings or pickled vegetables), Onigiri (rice balls), Tempura (battered and deep fried seafood and vegetables), Teppanyaki (grilled dishes), and Japanese desserts.
The restaurant also has its Bento Promotion that includes Wakadori rice set, Teriyaki, Beef Yakiniku, Shake Amiyaki, Unagi Kabayaki, Kushayaki, Miso Soup and fresh fruits.
How I wish I could eat all of them! But don't worry! I will try to eat their "best among the best" selections in the restaurant, ok!
OZEN
So I select Momiji's Ozen, the set menu in Japanese style. Which food are a part of Ozen? Ozen has Appetizer, Salad, Sashimi, Tempura, Main Course with Rice, Miso Soup and Dessert. Wow! What a set! Feeling so yummy already hahaha!
In the Main Course, we can choose Grilled Salmon, Grilled Gindara, Grilled Unagi, Grilled Beef or Grilled Chicken. The unique thing about the Main Course is that each dish has different sauce. Wow! Sounds yummy! Good for an adventurer like me. LOL!

Ozen: Sashimi |
Ozen: Tempura |
Ozen: Grilled Chicken, Grilled Gindara, Grilled Beef, Grilled Salmon |
Ozen: Ogura Ice Cream, Sliced Fruits |
Overall, the dishes are delicious. The Sashimi is fresh. The Main Course are very tasty, especially their sauces that make the difference. And the Ogura Ice Cream is taken as the good finishing touch after all the food I eat :-))
The portion is really enough for my belly, not so huge and not so small. And surprisingly, for a category of a restaurant in a 4 stars hotel, the price of the dishes in Momiji Japanese Restauran is quite affordable. Very nice!
I will be back to Momiji Japanese Restaurant for sure. Because there are other food there that I haven't tasted :-D
Have a great lunch, all!
