Beaujolais Nouveau Festival 2012

I was invited to Beaujolais Nouveau Festival at Wine & Food Expo in La Piazza Kelapa Gading, Jakarta.

The event has Can Can Dance, Mime & Magician, Happening Arts, Street Accordion Players, and else. But what amazes me is the food cooked by Chef Antoine Audran, the Executive Chef of Java Bleu. He cooks some great food like: Le Bouef (Sauteed beef tenderloin stroganoff with paprika, red onion & sour cream sauce), La Volaille (Whole duck ballotine confit with red wine sauce with caramelized apple & turnips), La Soupe (Field & forest mushrooms cream soup), La Bouillabaisse (Mixed fresh seafood selection). They all taste like heaven. Yummy and delicious! And don't forget that Cheese platters that really satisfied the hunger in me. Yeah!

On the wine itself, the Beaujolais Nouveau I taste is so nice. The color is thick red with an smell of very sweet cherry, and sometimes I can smell that sweet cotton candy between the swirl in my wine glass. Very nice aroma in my nose! The taste is full and bold, just like when I pull the trigger of my gun and bang! When I drink the wine with the cheese, the combination is just like a very romantic couple in their honeymoon. Very right and romantic!

The wine is produced by a territory called Beaujolais in France that always make new (Nouveau) wine. The wine can be enjoyed right after it is fermented for six to eight weeks.

The Beaujolais Nouveau Festival is celebrated in every corner of the world every Thursday the third week in November at the same time.

The night ends with a romantic feeling that someday the world will be a better place for everyone ;-)
